Bowl of Light

"Each child has at birth, a Bowl of perfect Light. If he tends his Light, it will grow in strength, and he can do all things - swim with the shark, fly with the birds, know and understand all things.  If, however, he becomes envious or jealous, he drops a stone into his Bowl of Light, and some of the Light goes out. Light and the stone cannot hold the same space.  If he continues to put stones in the Bowl of Light, the Light will go out, and he will become a stone.  A stone does not grow, nor does it move.  If at any time he tires of being a stone, all he needs to do is turn the bowl upside down, and the stones will fall away, and the Light will grow once more."

Fall is fully here. The leaves are changing colors with urgency, the nights are getting colder, and the days are cooler. With fall comes the time to go inward and reflect on things that went well and things that don't serve us any more.  It is the time of letting go.

Laughter As Medicine

In July, I went on a vision quest with the Lightsong School of Shamanic Studies and Energy Medicine. It was a profound experience, filled with prayer, healing and creating a new way of being in the world.
During that time, I received a message that we are all too serious and taking things too seriously. The spirits were saying that we need to lighten up and laugh a lot as laughter is a medicine! They were encouraging us to laugh as children laugh, with open hearts and with our whole body.

There is a lot of research going on out there on how laughter affects us and our bodies. There are data showing that laughter is stress releasing, it can boost the immune system, stimulate internal organs, help with pain relief and etc. - you can read more about it on Mayo Clinic's web site.

Sometimes it is not easy to laugh as there are so many things that weigh us down but with the help of Reiki and other energy work techniques you can release all those wounds, worries, stress and other things that are weighing you down. With Reiki you can open yourself up to laugh again as a child.

Laugh, laugh a lot and you will see the world in different colors!

Mama Time

Becoming a parent is one of the most demanding and most rewarding "jobs". Once we become parents, most of us at least, tend to put ourselves on the back burner.  We focus so much of ourselves, our energy on our children. We fret over our parenting style; spend nights awake tending to them. We worry about their health, their schooling, their friends. We worry about their experiences and the amount of sugar they will be exposed to...not to mention all the tasks that we successfully deal with everyday like work, cleaning, cooking and worrying some more. Exhausting!

So let me ask you - when was the last time you took time for yourself to recharge your batteries? When was the last time that everything was all about you? Spending the day reading, going to a coffee shop or book store without any agenda but just because you felt like it; getting a manicure or a pedicure; hanging out with a good friend; getting a massage; getting a Reiki session - are all ways that we can take care of ourselves. Massage relaxes the body, Reiki relaxes your body and your soul.

By the way, have you ever treated yourself to Reiki? In a session you release tension, frustration and the stress of your everyday.  Reiki relaxes you and at the same time energetically refills you and makes you stronger - it regenerates you. It fills you up with patience, love and light so that you can show up for yourself and your family in a new state of mind.

It is so much easier to give when you are open to receive and through Reiki you receive the blessings of the divine.

Angel Reading/Healing

This month I am offering a donation based Angel Reading/Healing so I thought that it would be nice if I described what happens during this session.

As a preparation, you should think about the issues that you are working on or that are coming up for you so that you are ready to ask questions from your helpers.

To start the session, I use distant Reiki to relax and open you up for receiving healing and information. Next we look at the Angel cards and listen to the messages that come from them and then we dive into bringing the Angel energy directly to you - then you will be able to ask for guidance from the Archangel that is with you at that time.
