Children, Dentists, Reiki

As a mother of two boys, I have my fair share of dentist visits. Check ups, broken teeth emergency appointments, pulling out teeth... we've seen it all. Some of these visits were easy and some of them were nerve racking, especially before I started using Reiki for each trip to the dentist.
My older son had a very traumatic experience when he was just a toddler and ever since he has been afraid of the dentist. It doesn't matter that the new dentist is the nicest one on earth, he just hasn't wanted to cooperate... until I started using Reiki.
One day when we were getting ready for the dreaded check up, I realized that I can send Reiki ahead of time to wait for my son and start working on him when we are there. That experience was life changing. He allowed the dentist to "tickle"- clean his teeth, they took x-rays - we were on a roll!
Each time we return, it gets a little better, the dentist gets to do a little more.

Recently, I worked with a 4 year old who had an emergency root canal and they did it without putting him under. You can just imagine how he felt while they had to hold him down so that the dentist could successfully finish the procedure. His mom contacted me immediately after it and I recommended a soul retrieval and Reiki. The Soul retrieval ceremony* was beautiful. It brought back to the little one all the soul essences that he lost because of the stressful event and Reiki nurtured him and sped up the healing. A week later they had to go back and he was just fine, no fear, no screaming, no resentment. He sat in the chair, let the dentist look at his teeth - the whole experience was smooth and easy.

Children, Reiki, Animals

At the age of three, my younger son, Attila, played that he was going to a Reiki school. He would put his hands on me and tell me that he was "Reiki"-ing me.
Both of my boys like receiving Reiki - when they are hurt, don't feel well, before bedtime or just because they feel like it. At one point both of them wanted to learn how to give Reiki and my heart sang with joy! A week later, we sat down and I told them a short story about Reiki and Dr. Usui, then explained the attunement process and what they needed to do. It was a challenge to keep a three year old from getting up or asking questions in the middle of it all - but we finished successfully. Both of them got attuned to the first level of Reiki which meant that they could heal themselves and help others, too.
On the days when I am not at home and someone gets hurt my older son, Tibor, is the healer. He puts his hands on the body part in need and asks for healing. Attila, on the other hand, didn't want to give Reiki. He just wanted to receive it until... Until we got a puppy, Padme, who had surgery before we got her.
One afternoon I was watching Attila and the puppy lying next to him. He had both of his hands on her tummy. The puppy lay still for quite some time and then suddenly turned around. Attila was not happy and he kept telling her to turn back. I asked him why is it so important to him that the puppy lay on her back and he said indignantly - "So that I can Reiki her!"

It was amazing to me that he intuitively knew what she needed! And Padme loved it. I don't even have to say that her wound healed very nicely under the hands of her Reiki healer.
Animals love the gentle and loving energy of Reiki. They immediately notice the changes and improvements that happen in their body and they will let you know when they've had enough.  You can also attune your pet to Reiki. Your pets sense when you don't feel well and they can treat you to some Reiki.
Whether you are a two or a four legged, a plant or a tree - we can all benefit from Reiki, the loving energy of the creator. Whether you use it for stress reduction, pain relief or letting go of old wounds, Reiki promotes well being and balance.

Healing Children with Reiki

As a mother of two active boys, I hear a lot of: "Mommy, I hurt my head. Reiki me." or "Mommy my tummy hurts. Can you Reiki me?"
Healing children is more active then working with adults. Even when they are hurt they move their body. The easiest way to treat them is surrendering to them and following them around the house. A follow up with distant Reiki session is a must. The follow up can last a longer or shorter time depending on the child's need.
There are times when they just relax and fall asleep then I can immerse them in the Reiki light.
The impact of Reiki can be very profound and immediately visible. Sometimes it takes only a half hour to shift baby's energy field in the desired direction and sometimes it takes much longer. We are all different.

Children's sensitivity to the energies are superior to those of an adult. They still feel and see the connection between our bodies and light.   
I strongly recommend Reiki for children. They enjoy it, it's not scary like going to the doctor's office and the best of all there are no bad side effects to it.
Of course visit to the doctor can be necessary and Reiki has it place as a support too.
Teething doesn't have to be so painful; sleepless nights don't have to be an everyday reality....Reiki can help...
